Pruning saws

These are some photos from Clint Ledgard of CL contracting. Pictured are high speed saws for cutting blocks back extremely hard (where dead wood is a problem), or cutting blocks back to the cordon as a form of mothballing these vineyards.

Adelaide Hills Climate and Rainfall data.

Adelaide, Mt Lofty Ranges and surrounding plains Rainfall Map - 50mm graduations
The Mt Lofty Ranges have a huge number of "microclimates" with variations in rainfall, temperatures and wind defining an areas character and its potential for horticulture.

Data and climate info, current weather data, including temperatures, rainfall, humidity and wind statistics are all available online.

We use and recommend the 'Hills Rain' website which can be found here - http://www.hillsrain.com/ranges_map_colour_2.shtml

Ocloc - field trials

Where posts are broken above the ground the Ocloc is a good solution. They are very quick to fit (above). Where the posts are broken at ground level the fix is more difficult as space for the Ocloc needs to be dug out (below).

Ocloc's clamps are best used where vineyards have a small amount of posts that are broken, or posts are broken above ground level and an Ocloc clamp can be used like a splint.

Ocloc is manufactered by TORO Australia and is available from DJ's.
